Terms of Use
Review the terms that govern your access to the Handwriting to Text OCR platform.
Effective Date: November 15, 2025
1. Eligibility & Account
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and capable of entering into a binding agreement.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account.
- Provide accurate, complete information during registration and keep it updated.
2. Description of Service
Handwriting to Text offers OCR-based tools to upload handwritten or printed documents and receive digital transcripts. We may enhance, suspend, or discontinue any component of the Service at any time.
3. User Content
- You retain ownership of the content you upload.
- By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process, store, and transmit it solely to deliver and improve the Service.
- You represent that you have the rights necessary to upload the content and that it complies with applicable laws.
4. Acceptable Use
We reserve the right to investigate and suspend accounts when misuse is suspected.
- Do not upload unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or harmful content.
- Do not reverse engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
- Do not access other accounts or data without permission.
- Do not use the Service to train or develop competing models in violation of third-party policies.
5. Payment & Credits
Paid plans, credit packs, or subscriptions are billed through our payment processor. Pricing, billing intervals, and renewal terms are disclosed at checkout. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or our refund policy. We may update pricing with notice.
6. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers (e.g., hosting, AI inference partners). Your use of those providers is subject to their terms. We are not responsible for their actions or omissions.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including software, designs, and trademarks, is owned by Handwriting to Text or its licensors. Except for the limited rights granted in these Terms, all rights are reserved.
8. Feedback
If you share comments or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use them without obligation.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or as required by law. You may terminate by deleting your account and ceasing use. Sections that should survive termination (e.g., ownership, disclaimers, liability limits) remain in effect.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Handwriting to Text will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid in the preceding twelve months or USD $100.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Handwriting to Text, its directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or costs arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
13. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
14. International Users
If you access the Service outside the United States, you are responsible for complying with local laws. We make no representation that the Service is appropriate in every jurisdiction.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
